Recent assessment has shown that blue-green algae has been confirmed at the following sites:
- Rea's Wood
- Cranfield
- Six Mile Water, Antrim
- Crumlin River
- Toome Canal
Due to the presence of Blue-Green Algae and the detection of elevated toxins (RED classification) at the above sites, the public is advised against any contact with the water.
Monitoring of the site will continue, and any changes in status will be communicated promptly.
Visitors are advised to remain vigilant and check on-site blue-green algae signage at each of the above sites throughout the bathing season.
