As we get older, our balance and muscle strength can slowly decline without us even noticing it. Falls are very common, particularly amongst older people and can cause great distress for the person and their family. A simple fall can lead to reduced activity and even social isolation.
Carrying out simple strength and balance exercises as part of a daily routine can help you to stay steady, reduce your chance of falling and prevent serious injuries if you do fall.
