The air-conditioned Fitness Suite was refurbished at the end of 2019 and provides a light and airy environment with wonderful views across the Sixmile River and nature area.  The Fitness Suite includes the latest TechnoGym equipment, with built in TV’s and the ability to track your workouts via the Mywellness app.

It also has fully equipped mirrored free weights area with safety floor and includes Benches, Dumbells,Smyth Machines and an Olympic Bar Area and a functional area with a range of equipment – Mats, Medicine Balls, Kettlebells, Resistance straps and Box Jumps.

 We have three types of swimming sessions in the swimming pool at Sixmile Leisure Centre to choose from: 

1. Open Swim is a 'Swim for All' session including families.  The learner pool and a lane for lane swimming will be made available where possible.

2. Leisure Swim is a family session consisting of a slide, lazy river, water mushroom and baby pool.  The pool hall is spacious and light resulting in a relaxing and positive atmosphere.

3. Fitness Swim is lane based swimming with fast, medium and slow lanes available.

Our swimming pool caters for both the serious length swimmer, children learning to swim and family fun.  Booking is not required but please check the timetable before your visit. 

Our Swim School with experienced instructors is very popular and spaces are available to book now.

Our fully air conditioned interactive Group Cycle Studio is instructor led and virtual. 

Bikes can also link to your phone to track your performance through the Technogym App.

We are a fully inclusive centre offering specialist changing/shower and toilet areas. Push button access throughout the centre and lift access. Poolside hoist available for pool access, as well as mobile hoist for use within the changing areas. Dedicated Family changing areas and baby changing facilities.

Other Facilities include:

• Bright, spacious studio with mood lighting and privacy glass – situated at the quietest part of the building – perfect for yoga/pilates

• Multi-Function studio overlooking the sports hall

•  Large sports hall – fully equipped for a range of sports and activities, and its own changing area.

• Dedicated 16+ only area, including separate male/female changing areas and Sauna + Steam room.

• Recently refurbished reception area with automated access gates.  Allowing members to access the centre quickly.
