We invite you to help us showcase some of the best festive displays created by our local residents, businesses, churches, community and voluntary groups and schools throughout the borough during the festive season.

Spread Some Christmas Cheer

Christmas comes but once a year, so help us spread some Christmas cheer!

Nominate your favourite festive display for the Spirit of Christmas Awards 2023 in one or more of the following categories:

Light Up Award – Best Lit Street/Town/Village - The wider community working together to create the best lit street/town/village within the Borough
Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree Award - Best programme of festive entertainment within a business or community setting
Reason for the Season Award - The most festive school, church or community facility
The Making an Entrance Award - The best dressed entrance feature or shop front
Traditional Christmas Award - Recognising acts of goodwill during the festive season
Eco Angels Award - The best festive initiative or event that demonstrates a commitment to a more sustainable Christmas

Spirit of Christmas Nominations

Nominations for the ‘Spirit of Christmas Awards 2023’ close on Tuesday 8 December 2023 at 4pm.

Winners for each category will be invited to an awards presentation at The Oriel Gallery, Clotworthy House on Tuesday 19 December 2023.
