We are committed to continually reviewing and improving our services to customers. To inform how do this we will regularly ask our customers and residents to tell us how we are doing and give us their thoughts on how we can improve the services we provide.

Local Development Plan 2030 Draft Plan Consultations

The draft Plan Strategy was published for a four-week period of pre-consultation running from 28 June 2019 to 25 July 2019. A formal period of public consultation ran from 26 July 2019 to 20 September 2019. 

All representations made to the draft Plan Strategy are open to public inspection during the 8-week period of counter representation. These can be viewed at the Council’s Offices located at Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey and Antrim Civic Centre, Antrim, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm.  They also can be viewed here

The period of public consultation for counter representations is 8 weeks beginning on Friday 11 October 2019 and closing at 5pm on Friday 6 December 2019.  Any submissions received after this time will not be considered.

Draft Disability Action Plan Consultation

Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP have produced a ‘Draft’ Disability Action Plan which is currently out for public consultation and we welcome comment from your organisation.
 
The consultation period will run from 30 August 2019 to 22 November 2019 and we would welcome your views on our draft documents.

Corporate Improvement Plan Consultation

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is seeking your views on the Corporate Improvement Plan 2019-20 (Draft for consultation)

We have identified seven areas for improvement and the Plan confirms our commitment to making a difference to services and outcomes for the people within our Borough.

It has been aligned with the Community Plan and the draft Corporate Plan 2019-2030 to ensure the Borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey is

‘A Progressive, Smart and Prosperous Borough. Inspired by our People; Driven by Ambition.’

 

In addition, the Plan includes a range of self-imposed indicators and standards to reflect all 18 Council services. 

A self-assessment report will be published by 30 September 2020, setting out how we performed.

Halloween Spooktacular 2019

Overview
