Suspended Sentence and Fine for Dog Owner Following Attack on Young Male

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has successfully prosecuted a Ballyclare man following a serious dog attack. Charges were brought under the Dogs (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 (as amended) against Mr Robert Dowie of Rashee Road, Ballyclare. He was found guilty at Laganside Magistrates’ Court and sentenced on 17 June 2025.
