  • Due to recent weather conditions, there have been severe disruptions to collections across the Borough. Crews will be attempting to collect all missed areas on Saturday 11th January.
  • Black/Blue Bins
  • If your blue or black bin has not been collected by late afternoon on Saturday 11th January, please leave your bins kerbside for 7am on Monday 13th January to facilitate collection.
  • Wheelie boxes
  • If your wheelie box has not been collected by late afternoon on Saturday 11th January it will be collected at the next scheduled date. Crews will take overflow bags, one material in each, no glass.

Embrace Your Town Spring Marketing Campaign – Call for Business Participation

As part of our ongoing #EmbraceYourTown initiative, the Council has secured additional funding from the Department for Communities to support a Spring Marketing Campaign.   

Since its launch in April 2024, this initiative has focused on promoting the retail and hospitality offerings within the Borough’s five town centres: Antrim, Ballyclare, Crumlin, Glengormley, and Randalstown.

This Spring, we are inviting town centre businesses to join this exciting collaborative marketing effort.  Opportunities may include:

  • Video promotions;
  • Social media story features;
  • Influencer visits; and,
  • Local press coverage.

Participation is FREE for eligible businesses within the Department for Communities designated town centre boundariesPlease note the following:

  • Spaces are limited, and if oversubscribed, participants will be selected at random;
  • Completion of an Expression of Interest form does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the campaign;
  • Hospitality businesses must be registered with the Council’s Environmental Health Department and have a food hygiene rating of 4 or above to participate.

If you would like to participate in the Spring campaign, please complete the online Expression of Interest Form by 12 noon on Friday 17 January 2025.

Key Information

  • Selected businesses will be required to complete a short post-campaign survey to measure the programme’s value and impact;
  • A marketing agency will be appointed to manage this campaign on behalf of the Council.  By submitting your interest, you consent to your business name being included in the quotation process and your contact details being shared with the appointed agency.
