If you are unemployed but have a business idea, we can help you take the next step to get started.

We provide the following free advice and guidance to help turn dreams into reality:

‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A sessions – learn from the experience of a small business owner and find out about the range of support available to help you start up.
Ideation & Exploration Sessions - explore ideas and assess if self-employment is right for you.
One-to-One Mentoring - up to six hours expert support to help you progress your idea.
Get Started Fund – potential access to financial support of up to £750 to acquire equipment / services required for your business.

Eligibility Criteria:

This support is for people in Northern Ireland who are not currently in paid work. You might be:

Taking a break from work and not actively seeking a job in the past month
Unable to start work in the next couple of weeks
Retired
In full-time education
Caring for a family member or friend
Living with a long-term illness or disability

If any of these situations sound like you, you may be eligible — even if you’ve never had a business idea before and just want to explore whether self-employment could be right for you.
