The multi-purpose auditorium located on the first floor provides a flexible space that features a retractable seating system, so the space can be adapted for specific user requirements ranging from Boardroom and Cabaret style events accommodating up to 72 people to a full Theatre format with tiered seating for 188. Weddings have also become very popular with up to 100 guests being accommodated.
The auditorium comes fully equipped with integrated ‘state of the art’ audio-visual systems and is available to hire for commercial and non-commercial activities at very attractive rates. The schedule of hire rates has also been devised to encourage community use with discounts available to organisations wishing to promote culture, arts and heritage related events.

On-site Catering
Catering packages ranging from basic tea and coffee requirements for meetings through to full silver service receptions are available through the onsite catering contractor based in the downstairs cafe. Bar facilities are also available.
The Old Courthouse is open all year (except 1 January, Easter Monday and Tuesday, 12 & 13 July, and 25 & 26 December) Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm and evenings by arrangement.
