Antrim Forum Swimming Pool Temporary Closure

As the investment continues at Antrim Forum, improvement works will be carried out to the swimming pool from 6 November 2023 – early January 2024.

The learner pool and the main pool will be completely closed during this time. To help answer your questions, we have included some FAQs below. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

• What improvements will be made?

  The new changing facility will include MORE showers, MORE family and accessible cubicles and MORE vanity areas.

  Plus, there will be new pool lining and pool decks, so pool will look fresh and new.

   

• Will my child’s swimming lessons continue during the swimming pool closure?

  MORE swim school members if you want to move your swimming lesson to Sixmile or the Valley where spaces are available please ring 03001231580 Mon –Thurs 8am to 8pm Friday 8am and 6pm or Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

• Where’s my nearest swimming pool?

  You can use your MORE membership at any of our other leisure centres including:

  • Sixmile Leisure Centre, Ballyclare  Get Directions  This pool is best suited for family fun. 
  • Valley Leisure Centre, Newtownabbey Get Directions This pool is similar to Antrim Forum's swimming pool.
• Can I hold my child’s space for swimming lessons?

  Yes, we will hold your child’s space to restart your lessons when the pool reopens, we will email you when the classes restart.  

• Will School swimming continue during the pool closure?

  The MORE team will be contacting all of the schools directly with alternative times and venues.
