There’s still time to apply for the Seniors Christmas Event Fund 2022

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to plan ahead for the festive season and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is here to help. 

Our Seniors Christmas Event Fund is a great way to help fund your festive celebration, with grants of up to £500 available for properly constituted groups running Christmas events for seniors between 14 November and 25 December 2022. 

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross commented,

Christmas is a time for everyone to come together and I am delighted Council has made this grant available for our older communities. The grant is open to community/voluntary groups, church groups and residential care homes.


So if you fall under one of these groups and are organising a Christmas Dinner, Tea Dance or Christmas Celebration for seniors, make sure you apply for this funding by 4pm on Friday 14 October 2022.

To apply for the fund, view the criteria or for more information, visit https://antrimnewtownabbey.eformz.info/ under the Special Events Grant form (Seniors Christmas Events). Completed online applications must be submitted by 4pm on Friday 14 October 2022.
