Multi-million investment by Montgomery Development Ltd

Plans for the new development located on the Doagh Road, includes 2 warehouse buildings with ancillary facilities and car parking.  It is anticipated that around 80-100 jobs will be created during the construction phase and up to an additional 50 jobs upon completion. 

Representing a £6million investment for the Borough, this latest development will further bolster the company’s impressive portfolio which includes the renowned Montgomery Transport Group - one the largest private owned transport companies in the UK.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Mark Cooper BEM welcomed the planning approval, saying;

“This major investment highlights the commitment of established businesses within our Borough seeking to expand their operations. I welcome the new jobs this will provide and the benefits it will bring to the local economy.”

Chairman of Antrim and Newtownabbey’s Planning Committee Councillor Robert Foster added;

“The efficiency of our planning section which has processed this major application well under the statutory target of 30 weeks, reinforces the Council’s position for attracting investment.”
