Community Development and Festivals Grant Fund Now Open

Are you interested in securing funding of up to £10,000 for your community or voluntary organisation that operates community facilities and programmes throughout the year? Alternatively, you might be a community organisation delivering a programme of activities or running a community festival who could benefit from up to £5,000 per year. The good news is Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s new three-year Community Development and Festivals Grants have now reopened for applications.

The following new grants will be available: Community Programmes and Activities, Community Facilities and Programmes and Community Festivals. These will be for a three-year period (1 April 2024 - 31 March 2027 - subject to funding). Those organisations who currently hold a new three-year grant need not apply.

Two MANDATORY Grant Information Sessions will take place as follows:

Wednesday 15 November: Antrim Civic Centre, 2pm – 4pm

Thursday 16 November: Mossley Mill, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Places must be booked in advance by contacting Community Planning Business Support E. cpbs@antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk or T. 028 9034 0000.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper commented, “I would encourage any constituted community/voluntary groups who manage community premises and/or run year-round community development programmes or deliver a community festival to apply as it is a great opportunity to potentially secure funding for three years.”

Applications for these grants will close at 4pm on Monday 4 December 2023. For any queries or further information on the grant programmes
