Newly crowned Players Champion and World Number 2 Snooker Sensation, Mark Allen was back on home soil yesterday as he launched ‘An Evening with Mark Allen and Friends’ a special fundraising event for his new charity taking place at Theatre at The Mill on Sunday 10 March.

Mark will be joined by a number of Northern Ireland sporting celebrities for a night of snooker exhibition, live music, comedy and a chance to bid on some incredible memorabilia with all proceeds going to The Mark Allen Foundation.

Through his newly established Foundation, Mark has partnered with a number of local charities to provide financial and practical support for local people working for a brighter, fairer future for all.

Joining Mark at the launch, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper said:

“Mark Allen is not just a world-renowned snooker champion, but also a true ambassador for our Borough, this was reinforced with his recent attendance at the Council’s 2023 Sports Awards when he was crowned Sportsperson of The Year. His dedication to the Mark Allen Foundation is an inspiration to us all. This event promises to be a fantastic celebration of sporting brilliance and great night of entertainment, a wonderful opportunity to help raise funds to support the local community.”
