Home Safety Checks

Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council provide Home Safety Checks for Over 65s, vulnerable adults and families with children under 5.

When carrying out a free Home Safety Check, the Council’s Home Safety Officer carries out an informal consultation to help identify risks and provide tailored safety advice and information. Free home safety equipment/gadgets can also be offered, subject to eligibility and availability and we can refer people on to other useful services such as Home Fire Safety Checks from the NI Fire & Rescue Service, Assisted bin collections and Community Occupational Therapy.
