Artistic Advisory Panel

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is seeking Voluntary Arts and Culture Practitioners to act as independent members of its Borough Arts and Culture Advisory Panel for the next Council term 2019-2023.
 


Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council owns and operates Theatre at The Mill, The Old Courthouse Theatre, and The Courtyard Theatre.  The Council is establishing an Artistic Advisory Panel to advise, advocate and endorse the Council’s Arts and Cultural offering and inform the development of the service thereby supporting the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Plan, Our Vision, Our Borough 2015 – 2030.

Panel Members will form non-executive members of the Artistic Advisory Panel for an initial 4-year term.  The positions are voluntary.   Artistic Advisory Panel members will work in partnership with elected members and officers of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in order to inform and contribute to the future development of the Arts and Culture Service in Antrim and Newtownabbey.

The Council is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are actively involved in the arts and cultural sector either as working practitioners, educationalists or presently employed within the sector.  We would like the independent membership to be representative of all art strands, therefore to apply you must be able to demonstrate experience in at least one area of those noted below. It is desirable for applicants to have multiple areas of expertise and those shortlisted will be required to attend an informal discussion on Friday 24 May 2019.

Areas of Expertise: Art Forms, Craft, Film/Photography, Theatre, Opera, Museum, Visual Arts, Literature, Community Arts, Arts Education, Arts Dance, Music, Arts and Disability
