The Flax Gallery is Mossley Mill’s contemporary display space held within Theatre at the Mill, which plays host to a diverse range of exhibitions throughout the year.

We are happy to announce we are accepting proposals from artists and groups working in various media platforms including 2D or 3D for its 2025/2026 exhibition programme, commencing June 2025.  Artists /Groups working in the following but not limited are encouraged to apply, painting, print, sculpture, drawing, photography, digital, ceramic, glass and textile.

The Flax Gallery is a contemporary display space held within Theatre at the Mill, which plays host to a diverse range of exhibitions throughout the year.

Submissions from individuals and groups are welcomed.

Please note, exhibitors will not be paid for displaying their exhibition.

Will the work be available for sale:

Prices/value of items to be fully listed and submitted before show.
The exhibitor will be responsible for arranging transportation of any objects or materials necessary for the exhibition, and for covering any associated costs and insurance whilst items are in transit (no storage is available in the Flax Gallery):

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council Responsibilities

 

Flax Gallery will be responsible for the exhibition installation.

Undertake advertising and promotion of the exhibition through, for example, a press release to appropriate media, ANBC website, Cultural Life brochure and any other methods deemed appropriate.

Closing date 4pm Friday 21 February 2025.

Only successful applications will be notified by Friday 7 March.

Works previously exhibited in the last 24 months in Flax Gallery will not be given consideration as first priority.
