Mayor welcomes £1m BLK BOX expansion to the Borough

Council Extends Additional Sunday Opening Hours

To help retailers across the Borough manage customer volumes and ensure that social distancing can be adhered to, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has extended permission for additional Sunday opening hours. The relaxed enforcement will allow the larger retail shops to continue to open or deliver from 10am rather than 1pm on Sundays, until 28 March 2021.

Council secures £10k funding to help you Get MORE Active!

Following the continued success of MORE Live, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is expanding its online offering of virtual fitness classes. Funded by Northern Healthy Lifestyles Partnership and Sport NI, the new MORE Active programme has a range of classes all of which are suitable for young people and the older generation, but absolutely anybody can enjoy them.
